A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Hi, this is my second game jam game! I'm 13 and I worked really hard with my 10 year old brother BoTzO https://itch.io/profile/botzo (he did the art, I did everything else) to make Be Careful What You Eat! Its a 1 minute high score style game where you try win a morbid eating competition where you have to work with your robotic partner to tell which apples and batteries are poison, and which are safe.

"I really hope you enjoy, it was a pain getting that AI working!" - Dev

"Eat carefully." - Artist

Love this game! it’s really hectic and a pretty simple concept with an interesting AI to have to work with. the controls are a bit confusing, as I’m not sure what the purpose of the up and down arrow controls are, and I don’t know if I’m just blind, but I think it was a little confusing to tell which apples were poisonous. The only other critiques I can give are the text being inconsistent with the pixel art on the tutorial (which could be argued was done for clarity purposes) as well as the text on the title screen shaking a little too much. The music is also a little loud, but That can easily be remedied by turning down the volume. Awesome work you two! I wish I was doing jams when I was that young lol

Thanks for the feedback! The up and down arrows are used to say yes and no to the AI. if he starts waving his arms saying "hey, come look at this!" walk over to him, look at the closest battery to him, and if its poison press down and if its safe press up. you can also call him over and he'll look at the closest rotten apple. I thought the tutorial was clear enough but I guess I still need to work on that haha.
